5) Order Custom Drinking Cups, Straws and more. . .

You’re going to need unique items to commemorate your day and to post on Instagram.  The Pursuit of Cocktails creates unique items for your special day, and the days leading up to it.  All of the items you order are made right in Carson City and delivered to you.  Why not get some for your engagement party, bachelor/bachelorette party and rehearsal dinner?  You’re going to want mementos for your 5-year celebration, as well.

4) Make Every Meal a Tasting

Enjoy every bite, no matter where you eat.  Lake Tahoe has some incredible wedding venues at which you can enjoy a meal, even when you are not booked for an official tasting.  Stop by Idle Hour Wine & Bubbly Bar to sample some bubbles and blends.

Stay at the Black Bear Lodge and ask Rachel what she is cooking up.  Maybe you’ll get to sample some of her freshly baked pastries as well as other delicious goodies!  Her strawberry muffins are to be enjoyed one tiny bite at a time!

3) Sip, Savor and Enjoy the Flavor!

Sample some wines while sipping in the beauty of the lake with Tahoe Tastings.  Bring along a few friends because the 1953 Golden Rose is most comfortable for groups of 16.

Stop by South Lake Brewing and try their Angora Ridge IPA.  Not into beer?  Being the DD is pretty fabulous when you can drink Carbonated White Coconut Tea from Blendbee.  Don’t forget to order a custom tea blend from Blendbee to give to your wedding party as a thank you.

2) Stretch, Breathe and Relax

While you’re here, you should probably book your massage, mani/pedi, and private yoga session.  Release your inner bride/groomzilla with some high-quality self-care.  The services at Rio Nails are top notch.  The space is perfectly lit, the massage chairs are cozy and they keep everything immaculate.  You can also request just about anything to be painted on your nails and they can do it.

Book a Private Yoga Session for yourself, your wedding party, your parents, you name it.  Lake Tahoe Yoga offers specialty practices that honor your requests and always include a little extra TLC.  Their motto is, “We Practice Yoga Everywhere,” and they do, literally.  During the cooler seasons, they will meet you in your hotel room, rental home, venue, or at Lake Tahoe Yoga Studio.  In the warm weather, you can practice on the lawn, beach, or paddle board.

1)  Get outside!

In the Summer we have Sun, In the Winter we have Snow and in the Autumn we have Aspen.  Get outside and enjoy the views.  Take a ride up the Gondola and take a walk on the VanSickle Trail.  Enjoy happy hour at The Fox and Hound and enjoy the views of the Carson Valley.  Have a few appetizers at The Ridge Tahoe while you gaze upon Heavenly Mountain.  Get to the shoreline and take a walk along the sand at Edgewood before heading to the Bistro for their delicious cheese platter.  Be sure to take photos and ask a local to get a shot of you in front of the lake.
