Valhalla Renaissance Faire
The experience of the 16th Century comes back to South Lake Tahoe’s Camp Richardson with the Valhalla Renaissance Faire celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2018.
The Valhalla Renaissance Faire features four stages of continuous entertainment, Queen Elizabeth’s court, Shakespearean plays and vignettes, expertly staged battle scenes and theatrical performances, lively crafts marketplace, storytelling for children and adults, dancing, archery tournaments and more. There are merchants selling a wide array of arts and craft including one of a kind jewelry items, wood crafts, artwork, ceramics, clothing, hats, accessories and historic weapons and amazing ales and wine. Enjoy seven acres of continuous entertainment on four stages, scores of merchants and over 1,000 actors, hard hitting, lance splitting jousting, live sword fighting, children’s games, educational demonstrations, jugglers, magicians, minstrels, food, beverages, and fun!
Romp through Elizabethan England and immerse yourself in an olde world of adventure set in a beautifully wooded Camp Richardson. Be a part of history. Come in costume or come as you are and lose yourself in games, theater and splendor of the Renaissance village and marketplace, and its town folk.
Parking for the Valhalla Renaissance Faire is available across the street on a first come, first served basis. The lot fills up quickly and is $5 to park. Busses running from the casinos at Stateline, to the Y and to the Faire are available from 9:30am to 6:30pm Saturday and Sunday, both weekends. The minivan from Snow Park (tow miles past the first parking lot on Hwy 89) will run longer hours than the busses.
