Sledding and Tubing at Lake Tahoe

Lake Tahoe sledding / tubing businesses are are conveniently located in the different areas of the South Shore. Tahoe Snowmobiles  is on Lake Parkway and Hwy 50 at the Stateline. Hansen’s is on Ski Run Blvd.  Tubing at Heavenly Mountain Resort can be found at the top of the Heavenly Gondola near the Tamarack Lodge. Tube Tahoe is in Meyers. Adventure Mountain is at the top of Echo Summit on Hwy 50. Blizzard Mountain at Sierra at Tahoe is located on Hwy 50 between near Echo Summit.

There are a number of good reasons to sled or tube at the listed businesses. The first is all have groomed slopes that are free of trees, rocks and obstacles. Grooming makes the sledding / tubing surface consistent and easier to manage your trajectory down the hill. You don’t have to fill the back of your car up with sleds or tubes. They’re generally a part of the fee. The businesses will enforce distancing and masks to make certain all have a load of fun while behaving responsibly.

Tahoe Snowmobiles is a one stop family fun spot. There’s a gentle tube hill and when you finish tubing you can snowmobile or take a sleigh ride https://www.sleighride.com/ . The tube hill is gentle and suitable for small children.

Sierra at Tahoe’s Blizzard Mountain offers free access to children under 42” riding with a paying adult. The track is lift served and offers a balance between speed, length and suitability for all ages.

Tubing at Heavenly Mountain Resort is more expensive than Hansen’s and Tahoe Snowmobiles, but you also get the photo ops with the most unobstructed views of Lake Tahoe coming and going and if you want to go fast on a longer track  in a safe environment this is a terrific option. Tamarack Lodge will be open for grab and go food and beverage options and there is outdoor seating.

Adventure Mountain really is an adventure. The terrain is a former ski resort, Echo Summit. It’s another spot to go faster safely. Sliding gear is sold and rented or you can use your own. There is adjacent parking.

Hansen’s sled hill is another good family option and suitable for smaller children. The hill is about 400 feet long and longer than Tahoe Snowmobiles track.

Tube Tahoe is the home of winter fun for the whole family in South Lake Tahoe. At over 500 feet in length, our machine groomed tubing lanes are some of the longest in the area. And, our snowmaking facilities allow us to provide resort-quality conditions all season long.
