Tahoe South Ski Resorts Among First in the Basin to Open 100 Percent of Terrain
Dec. 16, 2019 (SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif./Nev.) – Mother Nature delivered another 6-12 inches to area resorts over the weekend, enabling both Kirkwood and Sierra-at-Tahoe to open 100 percent. Heavenly Mountain Resort has expanded operations to include California Base Lodge www.tahoesouth.com.

Heavenly Holidays Family Festival is underway with events and activities daily. New this year, kids can design their own stuffed animal with "Stuff-A-Bear." A Heavenly Holiday t-shirt comes with the bear for $10 and is available Dec. 27-31 at 1 p.m. in the Heavenly Village breezeway by the fountain, near Gunbarrel Tavern. The season provides numerous live performances: MontBleu Resort Casino & Spa hosts A Charlie Brown Christmas Live on Stage, Dec. 30. Harrah’s Lake Tahoe features the Golden Dragon Acrobats, Dec. 21, 2019 through Jan. 11, 2020. The Nevada Show at Harveys Cabaret is through April 24, 2020. Riffs, a comedy showcase, in Vinyl at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Lake Tahoe includes Dave Mencarelli, Dec. 21 and Oscar Ovies, Dec. 28.

NEW YEAR’S EVE CELEBRATIONS
High-spirited New Year's Eve’s revelry will be amplified at the Stateline area: with a formal Black & White Ball at Edgewood Tahoe; dinner/show packages at The Loft in Heavenly Village; PEEK Nightclub at Harrah's Lake Tahoe; live music, theme parties throughout Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Lake Tahoe with fireworks at midnight; and MontBleu Resort Casino & Spa’s three venues: Opal Ultra Lounge, BLU Nightclub, and convention center.
Heavenly Holidays reaches its zenith during its New Year’s Eve Celebration with a gondola drop, fireworks and streamer blast, Dec. 31 free at the Heavenly Village, starting at 3 p.m. Coordinated with the midnight ball drop in New York City’s Time Square, the gondola will drop at 9 p.m. and 2020 will be rung in by country star Jerrod Niemann, Academy of Country Music, Country Music Association and CMT Award nominee.
The SnowGlobe Music Festival returns to South Lake Tahoe at the Lake Tahoe Community College Field, Dec. 29-31.
