LTVA Makes Travel Planning Effortless for Visitors During Amgen Tour of California
Utrip PRO helps visitors create personalized itinerary in minutes
“Whaddya wanna do at South Shore after the Amgen Race?”
To provide visitors the answers for this week’s women’s cycling event and any future Tahoe South venture, the Lake Tahoe Visitors Authority just launched Utrip PRO, a free travel-planning tool and app for people that easily and quickly creates personalized itineraries via the Tahoe South website, www.TahoeSouth.com.
The innovative trip planner provides a list of activities to complement this week’s Amgen Tour of California Women’s Race Empowered with SRAM in South Lake Tahoe, May 8-9. Stages 1 and 2 will start and finish in the morning and afternoon both days at Heavenly Mountain Resort’s California Base Lodge.
“By adding Utrip, we aim to make it easy for cycling fans to plan this week’s event and future visits to Tahoe,” said Carol Chaplin, executive director Lake Tahoe Visitors Authority. “As a national cycling destination we want to provide attractions that resonate with them.”
The Utrip PRO platform uses any traveler’s interests and budget to create personalized itineraries including outdoor and indoor activities, attractions, entertainment, and restaurant recommendations, based on individually determined budget parameters. The system also engages local area experts to design “Featured Trips” to showcase their favorite venues in the city.
Once a Tahoe South itinerary is crafted guests can share via social media channels or email to family and friends. They can also access their trip through Utrip’s free mobile app.
“Working in conjunction with the largest alpine lake in North America, a year-round center for outdoor recreation is a great partnership,” said Gilad Berenstein, founder and chief executive officer of Utrip. “Adding Utrip is an example of the Lake Tahoe Visitors Authority hospitality desire to provide guests with convenient and innovative technology to showcase the incredible breadth of local activities and experiences the area has to offer.”
