Our Favorite #TahoeSouth Instagram Photos from DEEPcember
By: Tahoe South
With over 200 inches of snowfall in South Lake Tahoe, this December will surely be one to remember. Epic Sierra storms have made almost regular pilgrimages high into the Sierra Nevada mountains laden with enough moisture to smash the previous snowfall record of 179 inches set back in 1970.
Don’t believe us? Have a look! And don’t forget to #TahoeSouth to be featured.
Where’s your car dude? Seriously though, a snow shovel and some elbow grease goes a long way when it snows high up in the mountains.

If you’re snowed in, you can always make new friends… literally.
Just because there is snow on the ground doesn’t mean you can’t ride your bike. You just need bigger tires.
With sights like this and world-class skiing, it’s hard to imagine having a bad day in South Lake Tahoe.
From the street to the mountains and beyond, this shot is all about perspective.
There’s nothing quite like starting the day with the sights, sounds, and experiences of winter all over.
Goodbye 2021. Hello 2022!
