As the ultimate “un-meeting” meeting destination, Lake Tahoe offers fresh solutions to accommodate your social agenda, too. Indoor and outdoor dining options range from value choices to elegant catered affairs, including acclaimed cuisine at resorts and restaurants. Charter the Tahoe Paradise yacht or plan a sunset dinner cruise aboard the M.S. Dixie II. Host a night at a casino show. Book a land tour to historical places including nearby Genoa and Minden, Nevada.

Destination Tahoe Meetings & Events can assist in planning a corporate social-responsibility activity, from stuffing backpacks for kids in need to maintaining hiking trails.

Meetings and Activities Jackpot

Come for meetings, stay for the fun. Whether you’re extending your trip for the evening or the whole weekend, there is plenty of day and night activities within walking distance from your hotel. Six full-serve marinas and miles and miles of shoreline provide access to a myriad of lake activities, including kayaking, paddleboarding, powerboats, fishing, and yoga on the beach. Three winter resorts and plenty of trails provide hassle-free access to snow recreation such as skiing, snowboarding, and sledding.

Golf, hike, ride horses and tour aboard off-road vehicles, bicycles, winter sleighs, and snowmobiles. Rope courses and zip lines await at Epic Discovery at Heavenly Mountain Resort. Enjoy the scenery from a hot air balloon or the gondola from Heavenly Village.

Attendees can try their luck at the casinos or relax at one of several resort spas. Brewery tours and historic sites like the Hellman-Ehrman Mansion or the Vikingsholm Castle all add to the list. Participants can shop at local boutiques, stroll through art galleries, or gear up at sports shops.

Easy airport access

Catching a morning flight to get to an event or to recreate on the same day is doable. Seven airlines serve Reno-Tahoe International Airport, with 130 daily flights from across the US and Guadalajara, Mexico. South Tahoe Airporter can shuttle your attendees to seven resort hotels in a comfortable one-hour drive, or arrange for their door-to-door private shuttle service. A number of other transportation services provide more options to get you to your location.

Additional flights are available through Sacramento International Airport, about a two-hour, gorgeous drive from Lake Tahoe. San Francisco, San Jose, and Oakland airports are a scenic three to four hours away. Corporate-executive travelers and general aviators can touch down at Lake Tahoe Airport, less than 15 minutes away.
