Tahoe South live music line up for June 2013
As we kick off the summer in Tahoe South, the live music really starts rocking! Here are the headline acts for June – get your tickets today!
Don’t miss the “swingiest” party in Tahoe when Big Bad Voodoo Daddy rocks Harrah’s South Shore Room. The high-energy nine-piece ensemble brings the party June 1 and takes things to the next level with the release of their new album “Rattle Them Bones.”
With a long string of hits, including "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood" and the Vietnam-era anthem, "We Gotta Get Out of This Place," Eric Burdon has one of the “most powerful and distinctive voices in rock and roll.” Eric Burdon & the Animals play Harrah’s South Shore Room on June 8.
Charlie Musselwhite and Coco Montoya play Harrah’s South Shore Room June 15. Reportedly the inspiration for Dan Aykroyd’s character in the Blues Brothers, Charlie Musselwhite is an American electric blues harmonica player and bandleader. Coco Montoya is an American blues guitarist and singer and former member of John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers. This is a must-see experience for any blues fan!
The original “Joker” will be “Rock’n Me” on June 22 to kick-off the 2013 Harveys Concert Series. Mark your calendar now for Steve Miller Band at “Swingtown,” I mean - Lake Tahoe Outdoor Arena at Harveys on June 22.
It started as a drunken joke for Dan Finnerty singing Helen Reddy’s “I Am Woman” at a karaoke bar, but now The Dan Band is probably more famous for their hysterical cover of “Total Eclipse of the Heart.” For an evening of fun, great music, and more than a few occasions for “earmuffs,” be sure to catch The Dan Band at Harrah’s South Shore Room June 29.
