Rocking out with local bands
Tahoe South's 2011 "Band of the Year" played to a wild and raucous crowd at the American Legion last Friday Night.
The Dead Winter Carpenters filled the tiny venue which, with the presence of a band, feels a bit like hosting a house party that your mom doesn't know about, complete with a band in your living room.
Their infectious and spirited bluegrass had the upstairs floor shaking and every person dancing.
The show was kicked off to a rocking start by Tahoe South's other new and fantastic quartet Dad's LPs.
Missed the rollicking good time?
You can catch the Dead Winter Carpenters again at the Montblue after show following the Yonder Mountain String Band on Thursday, April 12th. Much to my chagrin, Dad's LPs aren't currently scheduled for an upcoming Tahoe South show but you can bet I'll be keeping my eye on their website for new bookings!
