We know what you’re thinking… as Coop from Lake Tahoe TV says in his weather report “slow ‘yer roll!” Well, the weekend of June 1st is packed with more summer fun & adventure than you can imagine. From ye olde festivals to the most beautiful bike ride & even enjoying a frosty pint of craft brew, the list is just insane! We invite all ages and abilities to push their limits this weekend. Set the bar high for the biggest weekend of summer fun in Lake Tahoe – are you up for the challenge?
Tahoe Brewfest, Saturday, June 1st
Born from the desire to highlight the local craft brew scene and give back to the community, the Tahoe Brewfest showcases 25 breweries, 5 ciders, and some tasty kombucha. Alongside the libations, there will be food vendors/trucks, merchandise tents, a dedicated children’s area that also has craft root beer and most important... lots and lots of facilities. And for 2019, samples will be unlimited… you read that right! They’ll pour as long as the beer lasts, so get there early!
Valhalla Renaissance Faire, Saturday, June 1st & Sunday, June 2nd
Magic. Mayhem. Merriment! Queen Elizabeth extends an invitation to you and your family for a weekend full of games, theater, and a splendid Renaissance marketplace. Come as you are or better yet, dress up for the occasion & be part of history. From full armored combat between knights to an opportunity to test your mettle with archery, the Valhalla Renaissance Faire is filled with sights, sounds, and activities that must be experienced in person.
America’s Most Beautiful Bike Ride, Sunday, June 2nd
Just as the name depicts, this cycling event is the most scenic and awe-inspiring ride you’ll ever encounter. Starting and finishing at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, nearly 3,000 cyclists from around the world descend upon the shores of big blue to ride the full 72 miles around Lake Tahoe. And the best part? Over 2,000 of these riders are doing this to help fund the research to cure Leukemia/Lymphoma.
Hwy 50 Wagon Train, Saturday, June 1st through Saturday, June 8th
California and Nevada's ONLY BI-STATE HISTORIC EVENT, the Highway 50 Wagon Train kicks off this Saturday, June 1st in Stateline. In its 70th year, this is your chance to get a glimpse of a REAL wagon train venturing from the Nevada border all the way to good ole “Hangtown” or in modern jargon, Placerville. On Sunday, June 2nd, the line of horses, humans, and wagons will mosey onward from Stateline to Amacker Ranch near Meyers, California.
