Tahoe iMPRoV Players at the Lake Tahoe Golf Course
They've been making stuff up for 25 years. Audience suggestions are turned into hilarious scenes made up on the spot. Scenes are played using improvisation theater games that challenges a players "on-the-spot" creativity leading to lots of audience LOL. Think "Whose Line Is It Anyway?"
1993 brought us Beavis And Butthead, Bill Nye The Science Guy and William Jefferson Clinton as our 42nd president. It also brought us The Tahoe iMPRoV Players, formerly Lake Tahoe ComedySportz. Who ever came up with the saying, time flies when youre having fun, got it right, says Gerry Orton, director, who along with Frank Riley, co-founded the troupe in March,1993. Lake Tahoe ComedySportz evolved into the Tahoe iMPRoV Players in Spring 1997.
Six of the nine current cast members were there at the beginning: Colin Burrows, David Hamilton, Fabrizio, Frank Riley, Gerry Orton, and Johnny Bolton. Rounding out the cast are April Foiles, 2003, Jayme Foremaster, 2010 (Jayme was the youngest player ever invited to join the cast at age 14) and Pam Taylor, 2012.
