Snowshoe Cocktail Races at the Beacon Bar & Grill at Camp Richardson Resort
The triple crown of Lake Tahoe winter events, Camp Richardson’s Snowshoe cocktail races return for another round of hilarity and sport. Other destinations have races, but nothing comes close to this three-part race series held on the beach in front of the Beacon Bar and Grill. This annual tradition is free and tests participants’ balance, speed, and agility.
Racers, cocktail trays in hand, navigate through obstacles, and up and down the beach. The winner is the fastest and driest at the finish. Spill your drinks and you lose. For their efforts, competitors can win prizes that range from snowshoes and dining certificates to equipment and marina rentals. Registration is free for multiple race categories. Alongside the racing fun, Deschutes brewery will bring six beers for a tap takeover at the Beacon Jan. 19. www.camprichardson.com
