Labor Day Lasers at Lakeview
The Tahoe Douglas Visitors Authority, The City of South Lake Tahoe and On Course Events have teamed up to present a brand new Labor Day celebration at Lakeview Commons. Laser Day, also known as Labor Day Lasers at Lakeview is a new event that will take place at Lakeview Commons on Sunday, September 3rd.
This is a free, family-friendly event starting at 4:30 p.m. with music provided by a DJ, over a dozen local vendors to shop with, food trucks, a free bike valet, beer + wine garden and an after-‐dark laser display on the lake. The laser show will run from 8:30 – 9:00 pm with the lake as a backdrop and utilizing the trees surrounding Lakeview Commons as a backdrop. This 30-minute spectacular light show is provided by UVLasers 99 who’s responsible for some of the lasers and fire shows featured at Burning Man, Snowglobe Music Festival and more! The overall goal of this event is to provide a family-‐fun, memorable experience in Tahoe South while rebranding the Labor Day festivities in the area to better match the City of South Lake Tahoe’s vision to protect our national treasure.
Proceeds from the FREE Bike Valet and a portion of the Beer + Wine Garden will benefit the League to Save Lake Tahoe. Reusable tin cups will be available for purchase to lower the event’s environmental impact. 100% of proceeds for the sale of these cups benefit the League to Save Lake Tahoe.
Limited parking is available onsite with additional free parking available at the Recreation Swim Complex located at 1180 Rufus Allen Blvd. with an accessible walking path along the campgrounds to access Lakeview Commons. Free bike valet and please, no dogs.
