At age 18, the Worcester England native teamed up with Steve Winwood, Jim Capaldi and Chris Wood to form the legendary band Traffic whose profound influence over rock music remains unquestioned even today. At 19, Mason penned the song "Feelin' Alright". First recorded by Traffic, this song has since become a rock and roll anthem and recorded by dozens of artists, including Joe Cocker, who had a major hit with the song in 1969.
Please Note: Age restriction 6 yrs. & older. Ticket price will increase day of show.
Renowned for such Traffic hits “Feelin’ Alright” and “Hole In My Shoe” plus his solo signature tracks “We Just Disagree” and “Only You Know and I Know,” MASON is excited to perform the music of Traffic. “I think that it is important to keep alive the legacy of four young men from the heartland of England and their contribution to contemporary music,” says MASON. “And ‘Traffic Jam’--aside from the obvious material--will hopefully grow into the basis for other artists to participate. Keep the spirit alive!”
The “Traffic Jam” concerts will feature hits and deep album cuts from 1967’s Mr. Fantasy and 1968’s Traffic albums, additional Traffic jams, rare photos, stories from Dave plus new material and a selection of classic DAVE MASON music.
