Lake Tahoe is 3.5 hours from San Francisco International Airport (SFO), 3.5 hours from San José International Airport (SJC), 2 hours from Sacramento International Airport (SMF), and 1 hour from Reno-Tahoe International Airport (RNO). Reno-Tahoe International Airport offers a shuttle bus service several times daily, whereas the other airports require a rental car or a connecting flight to Reno.
