Stuart Maas

Our Local Expert, Stuart Maas, originally hails from Scotland. He initially came to Lake Tahoe for one ski season and decided that he didn’t want to go back. So, he didn’t. And since then, he’s been a pretty busy man, having served as Director of Sales and Marketing for Powder House, Ski Run Boat Co., and Tahoe Keys Boat Rental. On top of directing all things sales and marketing, he also co-founded Ski Rental Systems, an online reservation system for outdoor and recreation businesses—and we have to say, we like his techno-savvyness.

But working hard isn’t how you get to be a Water Sports Expert. Oh, no. Stuart plays as hard as he works, and when his nose isn’t on the grindstone, you’ll find him all over Tahoe’s amazing outdoors with his dog, Iona (who’s also his skijoring partner). With a passion for everything from gardening to backpacking and kayaking to fishing, Stuart’s still as head-over-heels with Tahoe’s amazing outdoors (and particularly the aquatic adventures available) as he was when he decided to stay. And it’s his passion for Lake Tahoe that make him a stellar Expert to have in our quiver.
