Sample the Sierra - A farm-to-fork festival celebrating the best food, wine, and art in the Sierra Nevada
August 31, 2014 | Bijou Community Park

12 - 5 pm. You’ve heard of the farm to fork movement, right? Imagine sipping a big bold El Dorado County wine, perfectly paired with fare from the region’s best chefs, prepared with fresh seasonal produce grown within a 100 miles from where you stand. This is what you will find this Labor Day weekend in South Lake Tahoe. The TahoeChamber proudly announces the 6th Annual Sample the Sierra, a farm-to-fork festival celebrating the best food, wine, and art in the Sierra Nevada. Look forward to sampling award winning wines from the Sierra foothills including wines from returning vintners such as Madrona Vineyards, Auriga Wine Cellars, and Crystal Basin Cellars. Peruse booths with unique handmade products including jewelry, alpaca apparel, herbs, spices and gourmet chocolates. Enjoy live entertainment including music, storytellers and cooking demonstrations. Food & wine lovers alike are invited to truly “Sample the Sierra”. The festival will be held Bijou Community Park in South Lake Tahoe, from 12-5PM.

“Sample the Sierra” is a cooperative effort of El Dorado County organizations, growers, producers and businesses to increase awareness of the region’s bounty, heritage, culture and activities. “Sample the Sierra” stioll has limited openings for growers, wineries, breweries, chefs/restaurants, marketplace vendors, entertainment and artists. Event sponsorships are also available at many levels. For more information please contact TahoeChamber – call 775.588.1728 ext. 303 or email Emily@TahoeChamber.org.
