On August 24th and 25th, the Lake Tahoe Historical Society will help the Celio family celebrate their 150th anniversary in Lake Valley at the family ranch. It’s a rare opportunity to tour the ranch, enjoy a chuck-wagon BBQ and hear the marvelous stories of the largest ranch and businesses of the family.
In the 30′s, they owned the town of Meyers. They owned lumber mills, beef cattle, dairy cows (milked by hand twice a day), a cooperage, livery, hotel, restaurant, store and more.
