Haulin up Hawley grade - All Ages Welcome. September 2nd at Sierra-at-Tahoe Snowsports Resort. 

Another new event is the first ever Haulin up Hawley Grade!!  Start at the bottom of the historic Hawley Grade at 6500', you better be warmed up because the climbing starts right off the bat.  You will climb 1000' in the first 2 miles to the top of Echo Summit on this amazing trail.  Once at the top of the summit you will enter the Tahoe Rim Trial and follow that for about 1 mile.  You will then run on the Scout Peak access road for about a mile before turning right on the Pony Express Trail.  If you've never been on the Pony Express trial you will really enjoy the beautiful scenery of the next 4 miles winiding through the base of Huckleberry Canyon.  Once you reach Sierra-at-Tahoe road you will take a left and finish in the base area at the main lodge.  

Total elevation for this 7.25 mile race will be 782'.
