Restaurant Week – Best of Burgers, Beer and BBQ
Tahoe South Restaurant week is fast approaching and we break down the list of participating restaurants to showcase the best spots for the Big B’s – Burgers, Beer, and BBQ - on Lake Tahoe’s South Shore.
Flight Deck Sports Bar & Grill is featuring the Flight Deck Burger: 1/2 Pound of Certified Angus Beef “smashed” with a choice of cheese on a potato bun. It’s served with a choice of French fries, sweet potato fries, pasta salad or house salad, and fantastic views of the airport runway and meadows.
Fox & Hound Smokehouse Grill & Bar is offering a full rack pork rib that has been smoked for five hours with cherry wood, with two sides and cornbread.
You know them for their milkshakes, but try the “Big Cheese” at Sno-Flake Drive-In – two 1/3 pound beef patties with lettuce, tomato, pickle, mayo, and Thousand Island dressing, served with Monterrey Jack and Cheddar cheeses on an old-fashioned sesame seed bun.
Sonney's BBQ Shack has created a featured menu for Restaurant Week. Start with a cup of chile verde, corn chowder, or small house salad, and then choose between the full rack of St Louis ribs or brisket platter with 2 sides. Add a slice of key lime pie and a glass of house wine or draft beer to top it off.
Brother's Bar & Grill lets you pick anything on their menu - purchase any entree at regular price and receive a second entree (of equal or lesser value) at 50% off.
Cold Water Brewery is featuring a perfectly paired Cold Water-brewed beer, Mr. Toad’s Wild Rye, with a Nevada Lamb Rack from Superior Farms, with quinoa with Moroccan flavors, and local goat cheese and farmer’s market vegetables.
Hard Rock Cafe (inside Harveys Casino) made me drool with the description of the “Local Legendary Burger” - Spicy Italian Sausage, mixed with Crawfish and Shrimp topped with Fresh California Avocado and Citrus Slaw, finished off with a deep fried whole crawfish and seasoned fries, and paired with an ice cold can of Tahoe Brew.
Neighborhood Burgers is featuring a "Tahoe Pizza Burger” with an Overland beef and Italian pork blend patty topped with Capisce? 'gravy,' pepperoni, tomatoes, black olives, and melted mozzarella between a fresh MySugarPine Bakery bun, that is served with fries, rootbeer, and ice cream.
