Live at Lakeview: Week 1 Wrap-Up
Live at Lakeview kicked off the summer this week with an amazing show from local Tahoe band 4 Piece Puzzle and Reno funk, soul and Americana band Jelly Bread. 4 Piece Puzzle did a great job getting the crowd warmed up early in the day. Accompanied by Eric Matlock, they closed out their set with a funky groovy cover of Daft Punk's "Get Lucky" and it was awesome! On a side note, 4 Piece Puzzle was thrilled to announce this week they will be at the Annual Hangtown Halloween Ball, along with this week’s featured band, American Jubilee!
By the time Jelly Bread took the stage in the early evening, a huge crowd had gathered. Their infectious grooves had most of the audience on their feet: whether they were hoola-hooping or dancing to the music, almost everyone was moving. Live at Lakeview is the epitome of summer fun and as the sun set over the lake and the music filled the air, we all knew that Tahoe summer had arrived.
This week’s Live at Lakeview show features Americana band American Jubilee. As always, Live at Lakeview is a free community event. Check out free music here at Tahoe South every Thursday from 4:30-8:30 PM at Lakeview Commons from June 20th-August 29th. Please ride your bike and utilize the free bike valet or find plenty of parking at the SLT Parks and Recreation Department on Rufus Allen Blvd.
The proceeds of all sales of alcohol from the beer garden support the series and I encourage you to either imbibe in the garden or make a donation in one of the donation boxes around the Commons Area on the night you attend.
You can find my weekly wrap-ups, photos and previews of the next concert all summer long here on Tahoe South.
