Fun Run – With Zombies!
October 13, 2013
Lake Tahoe Community College Playfields
Registration begins at 8am; Event starts at 10am

The first in a series of family-friendly fun runs hosted by the Tahoe Tri Club and the City of South Lake Tahoe, “Tahoe’s Freakin’ Fun Run” will be held at the Lake Tahoe Community College Playfields, and will be centered on Halloween festivities. Participants are encouraged to dress up in Halloween costumes and run for their lives from zombies, ghosts and goblins. A 1k (0.6 mi) kids’ distance is included at the event to provide an opportunity for confidence-building in young participants by being able to finish a first race. Treat Street

Trick or Treat in a safe, fun environment at the eleventh annual Treat Street on Thursday, Oct. 31. Every Halloween, the Pine Cone Acre Motel transforms into a Halloween experience where local businesses and non-profits hand out candy to the children in a safe, controlled environment. Thousands of children have attended, decked out as superheroes, princesses, magicians and monsters.  Volunteers will be passing out candy, serving hot cocoa, pizza, cotton candy, popcorn and s'mores in and around the haunted house. V&T Halloween Spirit Train

Take part in a special evening of historic trains, spirits (beer, wine), music, and special treats for adults 21 years of age and older to help local cancer patients and their caregivers.
The non-profit foundation, Empowered Lives through the Cancer Journey, housed at the Sierra Nevada Cancer Center, is hosting this adults-only fundraising event – an evening of Halloween fun and gaiety. The historic train departs from the V&T Railroad, F Street Station in Virginia City. Costumes are encouraged and special room rates available. All profits go directly to helping cancer patients and caregivers. Halloween Dance with the Tahoe Dance Band

7:30 PM – 10:00 PM

All ages welcome! Dance along to the 17-piece band and enjoy appetizers, wine, desserts, door prizes and fun for all. It is not necessary to come with a partner.
