The rumors are true. Daniel Tosh – yes, THE Tosh – is coming to South Lake Tahoe on December 15. As you probably already know, his show is stellar, and we practically have to contain our giggles just imagining ourselves in the audience in just a few months.
In the spirit of sharing our love for Tosh, we reached out to one of our pals, Marissa Schriver of Sacramento, who has had the pleasure of seeing Tosh in person. We sat down with her to relive the glorious moments she spent with Tosh.0.
What do you think of the new season of Tosh.0?
I’m digging the new season with his fashion theme of ‘over-priced concert t-shirts.’
Do you prefer the deep-V or high fashion?
I’m a deep-V kind of girl, but my fiancé is more into high fashion.
What’s your favorite Tosh line?
“It’s not a stereotype if it’s always true.” Tosh pokes fun at all walks of life (as most comedians do). If you’re easily offended then be warned it can get interesting.
How many times have you seen Tosh perform?
I saw Tosh last year at MontBleu. It was my first and only time seeing him perform - what a memorable evening.
How would you feel if Tosh called you out during his show?
Oh my, I have no idea! I think I’d get pretty embarrassed and probably turn as red as a strawberry. He can get pretty raunchy so if it goes that route I’d just go along with it and have fun.
If you could take Tosh to dinner before the show where would you take him?
If he was paying (as he should, my fiancé wouldn’t mind) I would take him to Ciera Steak + Chophouse, for sure – it’s the only 4-diamond restaurant in the region and the ribeye and truffle mac’n’cheese is to die for.
If Tosh was a beer what would his name be?
Honey Boo Beer – it’s a hoppy pumpkin flavor that has a skunky smell to it. The name is in honor of the show that you can’t help but watch because it’s a train-wreck, TLC’s “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo.” P.S. the bit on Tosh.O this week on Honey is too funny.
What was the most memorable aspect of Tosh’s 2011 Tahoe Show?
The audience had a great energy and he was able to play off of it really well. Be warned: if you hoot and holler, have a strange laugh, boo or make a hissing noise at a joke you could be singled out.
Would you take your mom to the Tosh show?
NOOO! My mom has a good sense of humor but it definitely isn’t ready for a Tosh experience.
