A recent readers' poll by USA TODAY confirmed what we already knew: Lake Tahoe is the “Best Lake in America!” Editors narrowed the nominations to the top 16, and then readers were invited to weigh in. Over 5,000 readers voted via Facebook and Twitter, and the largest alpine lake in North America came out on top.
