Tahoe received its first official snowfall of the season! Ski resorts in Tahoe South got 12-16 inches of powder and 5-8 inches at lake level (for both Monday and Tuesday's snowfall).

The ski season will officially begin when ski resorts open in mid-November. Heavenly Mountain Resort is slated to open (weather permitting) on November 16, with Sierra-at-Tahoe and Kirkwood Mountain Resort following close behind. Traditionally, our resorts open around Thanksgiving weekend.
